If you've not got GPS built in to your device then you'll probably need to connect one.

Portable Mapper has been designed to work with almost all external GPS devices whether via Bluetooth or USB but sometimes connection is not always straight forward and requires a little tech knowledge first, for example how to pair Bluetooth devices together.

Trickier still when your Firewall or Antivirus blocks communications with your GPS. Geode being one such example. The trick here is to create a rule via Windows Defender or through your own Antivirus to allow these communications to take place. Sounds difficult but most Antivirus software comes with instructions on how to do this yourself. If you're still stuck then ring Portable Mapper for tech support and we'll happily guide you through the process.

Jamie reached out too us recently connecting his Geode and within the hour all was working again. Pleased with our response he posted a 5 Star review on Google. Thanks Jamie.
