Sharing your Portable Mapper field survey drawing in Google Maps

Updated: Mar 29

Google Maps is a free, interactive shareable mapping App that anyone can have and use on any device, large or small and with any operating system. And chances are you’ve already got it installed on your device already.

Imagine if you could upload your site survey to Google Maps then share a link to that site survey so that anyone on any device can interact with and interrogate the data in that site survey. Of course you choose who sees that link and what is uploaded and published. For example sharing your survey and research with a colleague busy travelling and who only has access to their mobile phone.

Portable Mapper allows you to export the contents of the map screen and your survey to a format that simply snaps into Google Maps.
